Audio Visual Media
SOUND ENGINEERS, VISUAL EQUIPMENT OPERATORS, ETC.Sound engineers and visual equipment operators are important members of the music ministry. Those working in the sound room are responsible for adjusting sound for mikes (cord, cordless and lapel mikes), doing mike checks, making adjustments when necessary and duplicating CDs. There are times sound engineers will need to play CDs for those doing dances, dramas or singing along with track music. To cover costs, ATN makes available CDs of the services for just a small cost of $5.
The sound engineers are also asked to arrive early, and help the music team as much as possible. Sound engineers must be alert and responsive, especially during worship, and should be ready to make adjustments with quickness!
Visual equipment operators are asked to arrive prior to service, so that all equipment can be checked and verified that
they are ready for service. These members should be quick to respond when an adjustment is needed. In addition, operators may be asked to drop off media devices at the Glen Burnie Public TV building. When do you need assistance? Volunteers are needed for both the 8AM & 10AM service as well as for occasional evening services or perhaps even weddings, funerals, etc.
How often will I have to work? That all depends upon you. We do however, prefer our volunteers to sign up for a regular rotation and be committed to being faithful. For example if you sign up for 2nd & 4th Sundays at 10AM
Will I be trained on the equipment? Absolutely, both the director of the visual equipment and or the director of the audio equipment will make sure that you are trained – working together with you at first before you would be asked to work independently.
Is there an age requirement? Yes you must be at least 15-years of age.
Who do I need to talk if I am interested in working in the sound room? Director, Calvin White (410-544- )
Who do I need to talk if I am interested in working with the visual equipment? Director, Carroll Hicks (410-544 )
Coming soon. . . .Our entire A/V will be new soon which means that we will be doing some things never done in the history of ATN. We will be computerized, have new speakers, a new sound board (our existing one is 24 years old), remote controlled mountable cameras, etc. Our sanctuary, classroom, lobby and multipurpose room will be installed with 60-80 inch monitors. This will be a perfect opportunity for our young people to get on the ground floor and gain some experience with working power point for presentations, displaying biblical text, sermon bullet points, praise and worship lyrics and for those wanting to expand their videography knowledge, we will be displaying our announcements via video running 15-30 second commercials, and you will also gain experience in video editing. How's that for reallying earning your community service hours? We are excited about what God is doing and would be more excited for you to join us.
