CHOIRS: ATN Mass Choir & The Johnson Male ChorusATN MASS CHOIR
Unlike the Praise & Worship team, the ATN Mass Choir has an open registration to anyone wishing to sing (Adults, young adults & youth). This choir is compilation of members from all previous existing ATN Choirs. The choir is blessed with a creative, diverse, and energetic music program. Approximately a third of the worship experience involves singing and worshiping through music. ATN views music in worship as a way to enhance and broaden our experience of God. Music offers a variety of paths for worship, contemplation, and reflection. Through music we can affirm our faith, encourage and challenge one another. ATN's worship reflects the diversity of ways music can be used to experience and praise God and reflects its diverse congregation.
The choir has a very diverse repitroire as they can sing contemporary songs - popular songs played on the radio today, but they also can go 'ole skool' a salute to the old time gospel favorites. You certainly can appreciate those hymns known back in the day known for 'gettin you over.' Our musicians during some of these types of selections have real opportunity to demonstrate their God-given talents.
ATN Mass choir often is chosen to accompany pastor on outside engagement, to sing at evening and funeral services

THE JOHNSON MALE CHORUS
The Johnson Male Chorus is made up of all men. Some of the men are not members of ATN. The Johnson Male Chorus, voice of the Gospel in song, was organized in 1952 by the late Johnson Glenn. In March 2012, the men will be celebrating their 60th year anniversary. Originally, the group was formed to participate on a men’s day program at Asbury Town Neck United Methodist Church. Because of its instant popularity, the men decided to remain together and continue in the “new” ministry.
The Johnson Male Chorus has traveled extensively to carry the gospel message and many have been richly blessed. They have traveled to Virginia, West Virginia, Washington, D.C., New Jersey, Delaware, Pennsylvania, Mississippi and all parts of Maryland. This choir is very community oriented as they not only minister monthly in song at different nursing homes, as well as to the sick and shut in, but also participate in the Rebuilding Together project volunteering their time in renovating homes for the less fortunate.
Because of the dedication and commitment of the chorus, the Lord has blessed them to record four very popular CD’s, “Long White Robe”, “Jesus Is The Captain Of My Ship”, “Godly Men” and “O Holy Night”.
