Angel Tree

The Angel Tree Program - Gifts for Children whose parent may be incarcerated.

Organized by Prison Fellowship, founded by Chuck Colson. Angel Tree is a way to reach out to kids and also reach their moms, dads and grandparents experiencing hard times due to the other parent (or sometimes both) serving prison time.

The Angel Tree program provides children with holiday gifts such as bicycles, clothing, special-needs gifts and other wished-for items such as toys.

Every year ATN's Christmas tree is decorated with not only beautiful Christmas bulbs, but gift requests from children of all ages.  ATN makes sure that every single child highlighted on the tree gets what it is that they are asking for - for Christmas.

Gifts are purchased in accordance to what is specified.  A small get together is put together and the gifts for the children are distributed.  It is a pleasure not only for the children, but also for those who have self-lessly chosen to bless the children.

Tree is decorated the day after Thanksgiving and gift requests are placed on the tree.  Members are asked to retrieve a gift request off the tree immediately after one of our services AND to register the request with Angel Tree Representative who is seated at the Angel Tree Table in the lobby.

Registration with the  representative is required to assure each young person receives a gift and none are inadvertantly missed.
