Every year the women of Asbury Town Neck sponsor an annual Women's Conference around the last week of October. It is during these conferences that women can let their hair down, relax and worship God. There are always dynamite speakers who come to encourage, empower, inspire and motivate those who attend. Every year the women seek out empowering and motivating praise and worship teams, dancers who worship in movement and nationally sought out recording artists.
The event begins on Friday with a powerhouse speaker to set the tone for the rest of the weekend. Between the Word and the Worship, the women are on cloud nine. Saturday, the workshops begin on a variety of 'useful' topics. To breakup the day, line dance lessons are given for those wishing to participate. Saturday evening, another powerhouse speaker is brought in to deliver an 'on-time' Word that is sure to keep the Worship mode going . The finale occurs Sunday morning where all women are invited back to join Asbury Town Neck in service. They are given special seating and their presence adds to the worship atmosphere.
T-shirts, gift bag/totes are given to give a sense of 'belonging.' Every year the coordinators look for ways to improve the venue. The last two years the Women's Conference have been onsite. In 2013, they are considering hosting the event off-site, so stay tuned for more information.
For onsite events there is a nonimal fee of: $50 (+$10 T-shirt)
This fee includes: meals, workshop material, tote and t-shirt.
