Nov. 2011 Asbury Town Neck Celebrated its 123 year church anniversary. Asbury has a very rich history and started from very humble beginnings - from a small church with a hand full of people to a million dollar complex with a membership of more than 500 people. Every year we celebrate how God has blessed us as a growing family who love to serve and worship Him."You Can Always Come Back Home"
We typically celebrate both our Church Anniversary and Homecoming on the same Sunday. Those who have moved away - some out of state often come back 'home' to worship with friends and family. We reminence over old times are forever grateful to God.
We typically have a full service and on occasion we even have an afternoon service where everyone participates from all the choirs, to dancers, the ushers, etc. At the end of the service, we all depart from the sanctuary (including our visitors) and head for the fellowship hall where we have the big feast. We have a slide show and we reminence about the good times, laugh at how we use to look and celebrate those who have gone home to be with the Lord.
